To our U-12 Hornets for winning the Blue Devil Wood Bat Classic this past weekend. Our young men showed what true heart, dedication, attitude and effort can make happen when all are used for the greater good of the team. These 13 young men stepped up their games and made a complete 180 from Saturday’s game results. Being the #4 out of 4 teams, showing heart and with a never say die attitude!!! The tournament MVP Ellison Gearhart led the Hornets with a break out weekend @ the plate. Elli had 7 RBI’s for the weekend and came up with big hit, after big hit. Followed by Elli was the Hornets Shortstop Larry Barber whose play in the field and game 3 performance against his former Team ( the Sacramento Blue Devils ) proved to be the game changing performance the Hornets needed to have!!! Matthew Ogihara also earned all tournament team honors, Ogi made big play after big play and not to mention pitched in relief and absolutely dealt!! Honorable mention players included Jonathan Stone, Vinny Spence and on the mound and for his stellar defense Brendan Coyle.
We are very proud of the entire team and Coaching staff ( Shane Spence, Mark Ogihara, Jim Ghalardi, and Albert Carrillo )
